South Ionian Islands

Marvel at the lush green landscapes typical of this area. Follow the traces of different cultures, which once dominated these islands, in architecture, cuisine and music.

The only island connected to the mainland with a bridge. It is particularly famous thanks to the transport tycoon Aristotle Onassis who had his private island to the east of Lefkas. The tranquil and village-like town of Lefkas with narrow streets is full of wooden and brightly painted houses. Great beaches with sheltered bays make it an attractive holiday destination. The 800 m long Porto Katsiki beach with dramatic cliffs hanging over it is the island's top attraction.
A former fishing village situated in the northern part of Kefalonia. Fiskardo attracts visitors with its 18-century architecture which, luckily, was not affected that much by the 1953 earthquake. Known as the St. Tropez of Greece, the place can be called glamorous, as it is popular with celebrities. The fact that this village was visited by such stars as Demi Moore and Jon Bon Jovi speaks for itself! The local harbor is always full of luxurious yachts. Pretty beaches are only a walk away from the port.
One of the most beautiful villages on Ithaka. It offers lovely views, well-preserved architecture and local taverns adjoining the port. Enjoy unspoilt beauty, peace and quiet of the village that has preserved charm of the "old" Greece.
A mountainous island. Wandering through Kalamos you might get an impression that you are carried back in time when you see remnants of windmills, very old houses and walk along the narrow streets of the town. The place is really tiny with only a few hundreds of inhabitants.
